Jung Han Kim was educated in Seoul Korea where he earned his Master of Arts. He completed his education at The Academy of Art University in San Francisco. Jung Han Kim’s primary subjects include landscapes, cityscapes, figures, and the urban landscape. His style is a fresh and unique combination of representational impressionistic and abstract, allowing the viewer to look deeper into the image. He has won numerous awards including The Salon International 2006 Award for the International Museum of Contemporary Masters. His work is exhibited throughout the United States and found in private and corporate collections.

My paintings come from a point after photorealism and minimalism, for I am drawn to the intensity of photorealism and the detachment of minimalism. My subjects are often banal and trite as is my life and are scenes of my life. With my paintings and through the process of making them, I aim to study the relationship between the scene and me which is the phenomenon only I can perceive as the scenes constantly change, and so do I.
